Laksmi – Goddess of Wealth

In Hindu mythology Laksmi was a beautiful moon goddess who arose from the unruly ocean enchanting everyone with her presence. She bought prosperity, good fortune and happiness to all who evoked her. This golden haired, four armed goddess is a household name worshipped daily for enduring family relationships: fertility, strong bonding & faithfulness.

She is often seen standing on a lotus flower, holding a lotus bud or swathed in a necklace of lotus – the symbol of purity of  heart, the essence of true & lasting beauty. Her four arms representing the four ends of human life: righteousness, desire, wealth & liberation.
