In ancient Egypt, the palm tree represented immortality. It became a symbol of peace & a triumphant welcome home from the suffering & darkness endured out in the world.
It’s trunk withstanding enormous amounts of stress from the weather & elements. The palm tree bends but never breaks. However, it has been known to combust, as the outcome of excessive heat stored internally!
Fertility, victory, sanctuary & triumph over life’s difficulties. It can symbolise the acceptance of your shadow & overcoming self sabotage …
In modern times, palm trees have become a symbol of luxury … luring us to exotic island retreats full of lushness & sensuality. Palm trees offer a return to the inner & outer Oasis of calm 🌴💚🌴💚🌴 for rest, renewal, revitalisation & rejuvenation.
Palm trees lean towards the sun following the quest of light … they offer shade & sanctuary from the heat of midday … allowing space & time to connect to the divine heart.
In the Tarot, the palm tree is affiliated to the card of The High Priestess. She who connects the seen & unseen, the known & unknown, the dark & light, to assist humanity in the search for meaning & truth.

Ganesha
Ganesha – the Remover of Obstacles (reprint)
An Indian & Hindu deity … the story goes that as a baby, Ganesha’s head was cut off by his angry father Shiva. His mother Parvati found the first head she could, that of the elephant, to promptly return her son to wholeness. Now we call on Ganesh to remove any obstacles on our path, to divine a clear way.
The old Chinese proverb talks about coming across an elephant on your path that cannot be moved. Instead of using force, you must jump on the back of the elephant and ride it to your destination. Teaching us the lessons of acceptance for what is – that’s true surrender!
Ganesh is the god of wisdom & prosperity, you will often see a little white mice in his hand or surrounds indicating the deities ability to rise above the minor irritations of life!
Place Ganesh in your car or in your travel luggage, ask for his help in queues or traffic jams & any time you desire a clear way!
Call on Ganesh to remove any obstacle on your path …

DNA – seeds of change
DNA is a molecule in every cell that contains your unique genetic make up. It was created from the gametes of your mother & father at birth & contains ancestral patterns & programs.
The Mitochondria carries the majority of our DNA which means we inherit more from our mother’s DNA than our father’s.
The DNA molecule itself was discovered by Swiss chemist Johann Friedrich Miescher in the 1860’s.
DNA is a double-stranded molecule. RNA is a single-stranded molecule which has a shorter chain of nucleotides. DNA replicates on its own, it is self-replicating. RNA doesn’t. RNA are considered genetic messengers. DNA is found in the nucleus of the cell & RNA in the plasma surrounding the nucleus.
There are three types of DNA B, R & Z. Z DNA carries the left handed gene.
Fun fact – The oldest DNA ever found is over 400 000 years old!
According to Bruce Lipton in the Biology of Belief “only you can change the patterns & programmes inherent in your DNA through altering your thoughts & emotions which modify your brain & biochemistry”.
When we reframe & reprogramme our thoughts with intention we are capable of modifying cellular memory & altering our DNA to create a different outcome …

The Autumn Equinox today, Saturday March 20th … is also known as the first point of Aries & signifies the seeds of new beginnings. This follows a most powerful & transformational healing period as our energy shifts from the collective consciousness of a vast & deep Piscean ocean to the singular seed of self within.
Nights & days become equal, in solidarity we harmonise, become balanced, there is greater support to move forward. The energy of extra sensitivity to the mass collective is transferred to achieving our individual earthly tasks.
As humans we are shifting & growing on all levels … the Equinox moving us past the point of “enough is enough” to practical life affirming change!

PURE is a Manly institution. It’s been around since 2002, back in the days of three ducks & the manly organic cafe. That already says something about my age & longevity … but, you can’t beat PURE honest food!
Nothing’s changed …
Peter & Melanie took over PURE whole foods in 2020 after leaving California for a lifestyle on our very own northern beaches … who couldn’t resist the surf culture & health conscious community? It’s a winning ticket to nirvana really. These beautiful souls have chosen to live their authentic real true selves. Both have a history with sport, health & wellbeing. Peter is an experienced triathalite, Melanie loves her yoga & the whole family enjoys the beach & surf culture. This is a couple who choose to “walk the talk” along with their three boys … a big job alone without running a thriving whole foods cafe.
Keeping active is the key to their “food as fuel” organic food model … it’s all about consuming fresh wholesome foods that translate to vibrant health & wellbeing.
Wraps, burgers, bowls, coffee, salads, juices … veggie, vegan, dairy-free, paleo, gluten-free, raw, sugar-free, free range … the veggie lasagne is sensational (can’t beat the pesto!!!) … & I’m a big fan of the Dahl with coconut yoghurt 😋
Honest PURE good food … what more can you ask for. Totally worth a visit…
