Jyotish Astrology
‘Jyota’ means light & ‘isha’ means lord.
Jyotish therefore, is the lord of light!
Traditionally, no one gets married in India without a full synastry of the couples birth charts. The cosmic plan or blueprint shows all … when to start a business, when to buy a home, when to study, when to marry, what illness to watch for, how many children to have etc.
Jyotish zodiac uses the same symbols as Western Astrology. Particular significance is given to the moon, which measures major events & illnesses, & to the rising sign or ascendant. The rising sign is the critical feature of the chart compared to the sun sign in Western Astrology. This is called your ‘Parashara’ & is the sign that tells all !!!
For harmony with your surroundings you must investigate the requirements of your Parashara. An example: Leo. The Lion needs rocky high places, palaces & stately homes, forts, castles, jungles caves & a little environmental chaos. In contrast, Taurus the bull, would be most happy in a field of green with woods nearby, the farm, the farmers market, barns, homes connected to the earth & close to nature.
Your Parashara also affects your health as each Parashara rules & regulates a different part of the body. For example, Capricorn rules the knees, afflictions to this Parashara would include injuries, swelling or incapacitation by knee pain. Aries rules the head; individuals with Aries Parashara affliction are prone to headaches, migraines & situations causing frustration, where they must seemingly beat their head against the wall!
Vaastu uses a person’s Parashara as the starting point for a manual Bagua (the twelve bhava) that can be placed over any home or individual room for advice & guidance as to where objects should be placed. It is also placed over the human form to indicate health strengths & weaknesses.
