Buddha Chooses You!

July 4, 2012

We don’t choose our Buddha, Buddha chooses you!

When I saw my first Buddha, it said more than “I am yours”, it said “I am YOU”… I wasn’t shopping for a Buddha & did not have the intention of buying or even looking for a Buddha, but it chose me nonetheless. At the time, I didn’t even have the money to buy it! But sure enough, a week later, MY Buddha came home to me. My Buddha consciousness had arrived!

To look upon the face of Buddha is to see yourself, to see & connect to the peace & serenity that lies within. Buddha represents a mirror of self.

Buddha was born Siddhartha in BC560 at the base of Mt Palpa in the Nepalese Himalaya’s. His mother Maya died 7days after his birth & he was raised by her sister. His youth & childhood was one of luxury & indulgence, an attempt by his father to curtail an Astrologer’s prediction that he would one day become a monk. At 29 he left his wife & child to devote himself to spiritual & yogic practice and for 6 years lived an extreme life of discipline, denying even food. He became weak & skeletal & was forced to ask for help. At this point Buddha realized that there should be a middle way.

You will find Buddha in many forms: Japan’s laughing Buddha (Matreiya), reclining Buddha adopted by Wat Poh temple in Bangkok, Chinese medicine Buddha, even Disco Buddha … !

Buddha means ‘enlightened one’ or ‘awakened one’ & Buddhist teachings assist to achieve this end. Buddha teaches that the secret to external happiness is inner peace, inner peace that comes from stillness & silence. To gaze or meditate upon the Buddha is to drop into the source to access inner peace.

Call on Buddha to reach spiritual attainment, to find moderation in all things & to live in conscious awareness. He will assist you to find joy & happiness within & without. His presence in your home or garden is a constant reminder that the search for serenity lies within.

Hot tip:  Place a picture or statue of Gold Matreiya in the money corner of your home or bedroom

(back left hand corner if you look from the front door) to bring wealth & prosperity.
